Ramya R, the daughter of a farmer hailing from Salem, has etched her name in history through her remarkable performance and analytical prowess, securing a ground-breaking salary offer from a Singapore-based company. The Tolaram Group extended an unprecedented package of Rs 64.15 lac to Ramya in March 2023, following her selection via campus placement at IIM Sambalpur. She has since embarked on her journey with the firm, stationed at their facility in Nigeria.
Ramya’s ascent to this remarkable achievement was not without its challenges. Enduring six rigorous interview rounds, she showcased her exceptional management and analytical skills, distinguishing herself among the candidates.
At a mere 22 years of age, Ramya’s accomplishment is particularly noteworthy. Her success has not only brought her personal fulfillment but has also served as an inspiration to the women in her village. Encouraged by her achievement, they are now more inclined to pursue education and seek better opportunities beyond the confines of their village.
As the first graduate in her family, Ramya’s academic journey began with a degree in literature from Namakkal, Tamil Nadu.
