Mangaluru/Udupi: Rain accompanied by thunder showered in some parts of two districts on March 23 also.
Beltangady, Subramanya, Harihara Pallatadka, Kollamogru, Kalmakaru, Guthigaru, Sampaje, Ainekidu, Kadaba and Karkala received good showers in the afternoon of March 23.
Didupe and Naravi in Beltangady taluk experienced rains with high velocity winds. Madyantharu, Kajoor, Kolli, Nada, Indabettu, Navur and surrounding areas got moderate rains. Durga Parameshwari temple vicinity also received moderate rains.
Though it did not rain at Charmady and Mundaje, high velocity winds created destruction. Three electricity poles were uprooted in Charmady. A tree fell on an electricity wire and highway at Seetu near Mundaje. Traffic and electricity was affected for some time.
