Udupi: The ‘Horekanike’ procession was held in a grand manner as part of the Re-consecration, Ashtabandha Brahmakalashhotsava of the Malpe Vadabhandeshwar Sri Vadabhanda Balarama temple.
Sri Vidyadisha Sripada of Palimaru Math flagged off the procession at Kodavur Sankara Narayan Temple. The procession started from Kodavur temple and proceeded to Sri Vadabhanda Balarama temple via Citizen Circle.
MLA Yashpal Suvarna launched various tableaus. Purnakumbha, 101 chende, keelu kudure, kombu, vaadya, Kunita Bhajan, Tattiraya, Nasik Band, Yakshagana, various costumes, tableaus added glamor to the procession. More than 70 horekanike vehicles and more than 4 thousand devotees took part in the procession.
Vadabhandeshwara devotees have gifted silver prabhavali, panipeetha and silver kavacha to the entrance of the sanctum sanctorum to the deity.
