Water and jaggery- the divine combination.

Tulunadu has an unique custom of serving water and jaggery as soon as guests arrive.
This custom is still followed in villages around Tulunadu.
Serving water to guests who come home is an universal custom.But this combination of jaggery and water has a scientific reason behind it.
When we drink water at different places there is a chance of catching a cold.But when we have jaggery first chances of catching a cold is slim .
Moreover serving sweets to guests , brings out positive vibes, and serving jaggery signifys the love and respect we have for our visitors.
