Barkoor Garadi modified into a colorful structure

The Barkoor Garadi in the temple town of Barkoor has been renovated into a beautiful colorful structure and is ready for the consecration ceremonies.

Popularly known as Hosala Garadi ,the ceremonies will be held from May 22-28th.The holy rituals will be held under the leadership of Dr Y.S Hegde, Ragava Shetty and other associated persons of the Garadi, devotees and the public.

The artisans who worked on the newly renovated the Koti Chennya Daivastana at Gejjegiri kshetra have worked on the red stone colour ful structure here, and the wood work carving was done by Yogish Acharya and his team.

The Barkoor Garadi is revered and is backed by devotees all over.The colouring of the old idols is being done by artisans from D.M.S Lalithakala firm under the leadership of Jagadish Paliat and his team.

Special organic color is specifically made for the purpose using only naturally occurring substances.It is said this is the first time in the state such a organic color is made and it is beautiful and expensive.On the whole the renovated structure of the Barkoor Garadi is both colourful and unique.
