New Delhi: The filing of nominations will begin on April 12 with the issuance of a notification For the third phase of elections to be held on May 7 for 94 Lok Sabha constituencies in 12 states and union territories including Karnataka the Election Commission said.
The last date for filing nominations for the third phase is April 19. Scrutiny of nominations will be held on April 20. The last date for withdrawal of nominations is April 22.
In the third phase, polling will be held in Karnataka, Assam, Bihar, Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Goa, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, North and West Bengal.
In Karnataka, elections will be held in 14 constituencies each in two phases. The first phase will be held on April 26 and the second phase on May 7.
