Samrat Ashok birth anniversary program- About 3000 persons expected
Mulki: The birth anniversary celebration of Samrat Ashok will be celebrated for the first time in history at the Bappanadu temple premises on April 14th.
About 3000 persons are expected at the function said Jaya K Shetty founder of Mayuri foundation.
Speaking at press conference he said it was an occasion that the nation should remember; and the government must extend full support to the program. The program has been arranged to pass on information about the great emperor to the younger generations.
Dr Subramanian Swamy will give the chief address on the occasion.He will also give an appeal to the government to include Tulu language in the 8th section of the constitution.
Members of Mayuri foundation were present on the occasion.
