A mythological yakshagana play ‘Shamanthakopakyana’ by the makers of ‘yaksha hejje’ was played successfully at the auditorium of Hindu temple of greater Chicago. It was organised by.vidyaranya Kannada kota of Illinois.

Rajandra Kedliyar played the part of jambavanta, Anuradha Adiga played Sri Krishna, Prashant Kumar played the part of balarama, Raghvendra rao played Narada,Saptaka Upadhyay played jambavathi, prahlad rao in balagoplas part filled life into the characters.
