Mangalore Akashavani to air three new Tulu programmes in the month of August:

Mangalore: Three new Tulu programmes will be aired from Mangalore Akashavani in the month of August.

Every Monday and Saturday a programme which explains the meaning of Tulu words ‘ Pada Pataye ‘ will be aired for five minutes from 7.25 a.m. Dr B A Vivek Rai, Dr Saigeetha and many other Tulu experts will explain words,their usage and their usage in daily language and it’s mention in old poetry.

Every Tuesday morning from 9 a.m onwards a drama “Barbarika” will be aired which will be in the form of a series.The drama is authored and directed by Sashiraj Rao Kavoor.Well known theatre artiste Maim Ramdas, Manjula Gururaj, KK Pejawar and other artists are to participate.

A book reading session will be aired every Monday from 7.45 p.m which will feature “Mithabail Yamunakka “written by D K Chowta.
