Kota Kanyana, a resident of Gundmi, represents Udupi district in the 22nd state-level swimming competition organized by the Karnataka State Swimming Association.
He won gold in the 100m freestyle, gold in the 200m freestyle, gold in the 4m 50m freestyle relay, gold in the 4m 50m medley relay, silver in the 100m butterfly, bronze in the 50m freestyle. He is also the coach of Udupi’s Azzarakadu swimming pool
