Bhatkala: Padmashree Tulsi Gowda of Ankola, who was on her way to Uttara Kannada district as a recipient of the Padma Shri, has been appointed as the Deputy Head of the Bhatkal Sub Division on behalf of the district. He was greeted with a bouquet.

Tulsi Gowda of Angola’s Halakki community was selected for the Padma Shri award for social service and for planting and nurturing more than 30 thousand plants. Tulsi Gowda received the Padma Shri award at a ceremony held in Delhi.
