Mangalore: A free internet training course is being held online every month as part of the ‘Chandassu Study’ in memory of Dr. Narayana Shetter, Chando Brahma, Yakshagana’s mentor, under the auspices of Jnanamrita Mangalore.
The first lecture of the series took place on Sunday. Former member of the Karnataka Folk and Yakshagana Academy, Yasaragana Mangalore president Bhaskara Rai Kukkukalli gave an online lecture on the literary and aesthetics of the works of Dr. Narayana Shettar.
Shimanthur Narayana Shettar explained the uniqueness of the works, with an overview of the incomparable Chondo gems, Yakshagana chandombudhi and katel field, Mahatme, Deeksha Kangana, Raja Mudrika and Birda Bhairaveer.
