Ujire: “The students who are young people are the ones who will shape the bright future of the country and should incorporate good knowledge and culture and should incorporate social consciousness to become polite and civilized citizens of the society.” M. Mohan Alva said. He was speaking at the inauguration of “Yashovana” of medicinal herbs in Ujire on March 30.

Dr.Keerthishesha B. Yashovarma had immense trust, love and trust in the students. Students should actively participate in sports, extra-curricular activities and cultural programmes and develop a sense of beauty. He suggested that the country, art, literature, culture and environment should be taken care of and also said that interest should also be taken in research work.

He opined that Yashovarma was a multi-talented, well-mannered speaker with a sense of humor and a kind-hearted writer.

Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari D.Veerendra Heggade presided over the occasion and said, “Green is our breath and everyone should take interest in protecting nature and environment. He suggested that the students of botany department should cooperate in the management of Yashovana.

Hemavathi V. Heggade, D. Harshendra Kumar, Soniayashowarma, Prof. S. Satishchandra, Mangalore V.V. Vice Chancellor Prof. P.L. Dharma, Folk V.V. Former Vice-Chancellor Prof.K. Chinnappa Gowda, Legislative Council member K.Pratapasimha Naik were present. Principal Prof.Kumar Hegde welcomed and Prof.Sridhar Bhat thanked the gathering.
