Birth anniversary celebration of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose at Mangalore Congress Office:
Mangalore: Freedom fighter,founder of INA Netaji’s birth anniversary was celebrated on Sunday at DK district Congress Office.
The program was inaugurated by Ramanath Rai who said that Netaji also had a contribution to India’s freedom struggle in a revolutionary way,much different from the ahimsa struggle of Mahatma Gandhi.
Many party leaders like Shashidhar Hegde,Appi, J Abdul Salim, Naveen D Souza, Jayasheel Adyantaya, Abdul Rawoof Bajal, BM Abbas Ali, Raghuraj Kadri Surendra Kambli and many others participated in the program.

ಈ ಸಲ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾಯಿನ 12 ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಸ್ತಬ್ದಚಿತ್ರಡ್ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಭಾರತೊರ್ದು ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾಯಿನ ಏಕೈಕ ಸ್ತಬ್ದಚಿತ್ರ ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದವು . ಆತೆ ಅತ್ತoದೆ , ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಸ್ತಬ್ದಚಿತ್ರ ಬೆರಿಕ್ಕೆ ಪದಿ ಮೂಜನೆ ಸಲ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾವೊಂದು ಉಂಡು ಪನ್ಪಿನವು ದಾಖಲಾರ್ಹ ಸಂಗತಿ ಆತುಂಡು .

ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಹೋರಾಟಗಾರೆರ್ , ಅಭಿನೇತ್ರಿ., ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವಕೆರ್ , ಕಲಾ ಉತ್ತೇಜಕೆರ್ ಆಯಿನ ಕರ್ನಾಟkaದಾರೆ ಆಯಿನ ಕಮಲಾದೇವಿ ಚಟ್ಟೋಪಾಧ್ಯಾಯ ಮೇರ್ ಮಾಜೊಂದು ಇತ್ತಿನ ಪಾರಂಪಾರಿಕ ಕರಕುಶಲ ವಸ್ತುದ ತಯಾರಿಕಾ ಕಲೆನ್ ಒರಿಪಾವುನ ನೆಲೆಟ್ಟ್ ಮಲ್ಲ ಪಾತ್ರ ವಹಿಸ್ದಿತ್ತೆರ್ ಪನ್ಪಿನ ಗಮನರ್ಹ.
ಸ್ತಬ್ದಚಿತ್ರಡ್ ದಾದ ಮಾತಾ ಉಂಡು ?
ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಸ್ತಬ್ದಚಿತ್ರದ ದುಂಬುದ ಭಾಗೋಡು ಮೈಸೂರುದ ಬೀಟೆ ಮರ ಬೊಕ್ಕ ದಂತದ ಕಸೂತಿ ಕೆತ್ತನೆದ ಮಾಮಲ್ಲ ಆನೆದ ಕಲಾಕೃತಿ ಬೊಕ್ಕ ಈ ಕಲಾಕೃತಿದ ತಿರ್ತ ಭಾಗೋಡು ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನ ಬೊಂಬೆಯಾಟದ ಚಿತ್ರಣ ಉಂಡು . ಒಟ್ಟುಗು , ಗಂಜೀಫಾ ಕಲಾಕೃತಿ ಉಂಡು .

Karnataka to portray a Traditional handicrafts tableau on- January 26th at Rajpath- Dr PS Harsha.
New Delhi: Karnataka will portray a tableau which is named as a cradle containing traditional handicrafts on the republic day parade at Rajpath said Dr P S Harsha commissioner of information and public relations.
The tableau from Karnataka is the only one selected from South India; from the 12 selected from all over the country.
Traditional pottery items, intricate designed sandelwood peices, handloom sarees, special handmade items that have been acclaimed world wide are included in traditional handicrafts cradle from Karnataka which will now be on the show at Rajpath.
Toys from Channapatna, inlay carvings,bronze statues ,wax and bamboo works are some of the special handicrafts from Karnataka.
Terracotta works also deserve special mention.Kinnala art which was patronised by the Vijayanagar rulers have a special place in the traditional art and handicrafts of Karnataka.Ivory and sandelwood work have been unique to Karnataka for thousands of years.
The Karnataka State handicrafts development authority has provided market to 55,000 artists through the e-commerce forum.
Freedom fighter, actress, social activist Kamala devi Chattopadhyay has relentlessly strived to save the vanishing traditional handicrafts and provided encouragement and incentives to the artists and has been instrumental in reviveing the dying handicrafts sector.
Cradle of handicrafts:
The Karnataka tableau has a huge rosewood elephant with ivory inlay .Below it there are depiction of Yakshagana Bombay atta and Ganjifa art.
There are items of Bamboo work and also depictions of bootaradane of coastal Karnataka.

ಇನಿ ಪಾಸಿಟಿವ್ ಬತ್ತಿನ 763 ಜನಟ್ 408 ಜನ ಆಣುಲು ಬೊಕ್ಕ 355 ಜನ ಪೊಂಜೊವುಲು . ಪಾಸಿಟಿವ್ ಬತ್ತಿನೆಟ್ಟ್ 497 ಜನ ಒಡಿಪು ದಕುಲು ಪಂದ್ ಪಂತೆರ್.
Udupi, Jan 23: The number of people who came to Kovid in the district on Saturday fell to 763. The number of people recovering from infections during the day is also 600. District Health and Family Welfare Officer Dr.naghabhushan udupa said.
Of the 763 people who arrived today, 408 were men and 355 were women. Of those who came in for positive, 497 were from Udupi Taluk. Four out-of-towners, including 178 in Kundapur taluk and 84 in Karkala taluk, are also among the positive.

Kundeshwar Samman Award for Raghavendra Maiyar
Mangalore: Yakshaganagandharva Raghavendra Mayya Halladi is the recipient of the Kundeshwara Samman -2022 award from Sri Kundeshwara constituency, Karkala.
The awards ceremony will be presented at the Kundeshwara constituency on January 23 at 6 pm.
“The Yakshagana Outdoor Service will be conducted by the Kadri Yakshakuta,” said Jitendra Kundeshwara, Program Coordinator.
Raghavendra Mayya Haladi, a friend of the creator of Yakshagana, who has become a friend and trust-lover of his own style, has been engaged in the service of excellence for over four decades with the memory of Sri Kalinga Nawada.

Mangalore: This Republic day, on Wednesday,26th ofJanuary , a walk for unity has been organised from Kankanady Brahma Baidarkala Garody to Kudroli Gokarnathaswara temple with a picture of Brahma Shree Narayan Guru.
The program will be inaugurated at 8a.m
The closing ceremony will be at 6p.m.
A walk for unity has also been organised at 4p.m from Urva stores to Kudroli Gokarnathaswara temple.
The program has been organised by the Billawa society in honour of Sri Narayan Guru and also as a protest; as a tableau of Sri Narayan Guru sent for the republic day parade by the Kerala government was rejected at the centre.
A bajan programme will be in Mulki at 10a.m on the 26th of January at Billava Samaj Seva Sangha as a protest for the aforesaid action by the centre.

Karkala: Anvi H. Karkala of Karkala participated in the Sixth National Yogasana Competition held on 16/1/2022. Anchan won the 11 to 15 age group and finished second.
The competition was to take place in Andaman this month. But with the increase in covid it was made online. Anvi H. Anchan receives yoga training from the Yoguru guru K Ashok Kumar at the “Constant Yoga Education Center“.
