Ghats closed; More railway connectivity required

Mangalore: National highway 75 Shiradi Ghat and other routes at Charmadi, Sampaje, Agumbe are experiencing landslide which has left the Mangalore Bangalore route closed.Rail travel has become mandatory now.

Public organizations are requesting for more trains on this route. MP Nalin Kumar Kateel has met central railways minister Ashwini Vyshnav and sent in a request for the same

Engineering lessons in Kannada released

An aim to create an universal lessons for all

Bangalore: The All India council for technical education board has released technical education lessons in nine languages including Kannada.It is aimed at helping students from regional language medium to have an equal chance in technical education said Prof Anil D Sahasrabuddhi president of AICTE.

The NEP ( National education policy) moots for technical education in local language and the chancellors of all technical Universities, SEP directors and experts from the National Academy of engineering education came together and released lessons in technical education in nine regional languages.

Speaking at the meeting prof Sahasrabuddhi said that it is not true that technical education can be had only in English language. Persons with a regional language background can also excel in technical education and these lessons are intended to help students to have equal opportunities in education.

ಬೆಂಗ್ಳೂರ್: ಜಿಸ್ಯಾಟ್ -24 ಉಪಗ್ರಹನ್ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಅಮೇರಿಕಾದ ಫ್ರೆಂಚ್ ಗಾಯಾನರ್ದ್ ಗುರುವಾರ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾದ್ ಉಡಾವಣೆ ಮಲ್ತ್ ದೆರ್ ಪಂದ್ ಇಸ್ರೋ ತೆರಿಪಾದ್೦ಡ್.

ಅತ್ಯಾಧುನಿಕ ಉಪಗ್ರಹನ್ ಇಸ್ರೋ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮಲ್ತ್ ದಿತ್ತ್ ದ್, ತನ್ನ ಅಂಗಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಾಯಿನ ನ್ಯೂಸ್ಪೇಸ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಲಿಮಿಟೆಡ್ ಉಂದೆನ್ ಉಡಾವಣೆ ಮಲ್ತ್ ದ್೦ಡ್. 24 -ಕೆಯು ಬ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ಸಂವಹನ ಉಪಗ್ರಹ ಆತಿನ ಜಿಸ್ಯಾಟ್ -24 ಒಟ್ಟು ತೂಕ ಇಪ್ಪುನ 4,180 ಕೆ.ಜಿ ಪಂದ್ ಇಸ್ರೋ ತೆರಿಪಾದ್೦ಡ್. ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಬ್ಯಾಹಾಕಾಶ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಡ್ ಉಡಾವಣೆ ಮಲ್ತಿನ ಸುರುತ್ತ ಸಂವಹನ ಉಪಗ್ರಹ ಉಂದಾತ್೦ಡ್.

GSAT-24 communication satellite launched by ISRO

Bangalore: ISRO has informed that it has launched a communication satellite GSAT-24 from South America’s French Gayana.

The Satellite is well-equipped has been made by ISRO for its sub – organisation New Space India limited ; which has launched it. India’s GSAT-24 is a Ku- band 4 tonn class communication satellite built by ISRO for NSIL.It is the first demand driven communication satellite that the central government has launched post space reforms.

Man stabbed by his friend

Bangalore: In a horrific incident reported from Kurubarahalli police station limits and n Bangalore; a man was stabbed by his friend for a small misunderstanding.

The victim has been identified as Shivamadu (24) and his friend Shanta Kumar is the accused.

Both were childhood friends and used to meet often.They met eachother near a cricket ground and sources said that Shivamadu took 500 rupees from the latters pocket. A big fight followed and Shanta Kumar stabbed Shivamadu ; who breathed his last due to heavy bleeding.

SSLC revaluation; 72 students get cent percent marks

Bangalore: In the revaluation of marks applied for by students 72 students got cent percent results by scoring 625 marks With this the number of students getting full marks in the state this year has come to 217.

Last month when the SSLC results were declared 145 students had scored full marks and created a record.Now after revaluation the Karnataka secondary education examination centre has declared 72 more students with cent percent marks .

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ ದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ನ್ಯಾಯಮೂರ್ತಿ, ವಿಧಾನ ಸಭೆತ್ತ ಸ್ಪೀಕರ್, ವಿಧಾನಪರಿಷತ್ ಸಭಾಪತಿ ಅಂಚನೆ ರಡ್ಡ್ ಸದನದ ಪ್ರತಿಪಕ್ಷ ನಾಯಕೆರ್ನ ಒಟ್ಟುಗ್ ಚರ್ಚೆ ಮಲ್ತ್ ದ್, ಈ ನಿರ್ಧಾರನ್ ದೆತೊಂದೆರ್. ಬಿಎಸ್ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಜೂ.15 ಕ್ಕ್ ಕಾಂಡೆ 9.45 ಗ್ ಲೋಕಾಯುಕ್ತೆರಾದ್ ಪ್ರಮಾಣವಚನ ಸ್ವೀಕಾರ ಮಲ್ತ್ ದೆರ್.

B S Patil is the new Lokayukta of Karnataka

The Governer of Karnataka Tavarchand Gelhot has issued notification that Justice Bheemangowda Sangangowda Patil has been appointed as the new Lokayukta of Karnataka.

He was former judge of Karnataka High court and is presently serving as upa Lokayukta. His name was proposed by CM Bommai ; and he was selected after consultations with the chief Justice of Karnataka High court, speaker of Vidhana Parishad and opposition leaders of the both houses of legislature.

He took oath on the 15th of June as the new Lokayukta of Karnataka.
