ಮೈಸೂರು, ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 13: ಕರ್ನಾಟಕಡ್ ಕೋವಿಡ್ ಸಾಂಕ್ರಾಮಿಕ ರೋಗ ಜಾಸ್ತಿ ಆವೊಂದು ಉಂಡು ಪಂದ್ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸಚಿವ ಒತ್ತೊಂದೆರ್. “ಕೋವಿಡ್ ನನಲಾ ರಾಜ್ಯೊಡು ಪಸರೊಂದು ಉಂಡು. ಈ ನಿಟ್ಟ್ ಡ್ ಈ ಸಾರಿ ದಸರ ಉತ್ಸವನ್ ಸರಳ ರೀತಿಡ್ ಆಚರಣೆ ಮಲ್ಪೊಡು , ಅಂಚನೆ ಪತ್ತನೆ ದಿನತಾನಿ (ವಿಜಯಾದಶಮಿ ) ರಾಯಲ್ ಪೆರೇಡ್‌ಗ್ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಯೆರೆ 300 ಜನಕ್ ಮಾತ್ರ ಅವಕಾಶ ಕೊರ್ತೆರ್. ಅಂಬಾ ವಿಲಾಸ್ ಅರಮನೆ ಮೈದಾನಡ್ ನಡತಿನ ಸುದ್ದಿಗೋಷ್ಠಿಡ್ ಸುಧಾಕರ್ ತೆರಿಪಾದೆರ್ . ಪರಿಶೀಲನಾ ಸಭೆಟ್ ಮೈಸೂರು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ರೋಹಿಣಿ ಸಿಂಧುರಿ ಬೊಕ್ಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಇಲಾಖೆದ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಜಾವೇದ್ ಅಖ್ತರ್ ಪಾಲ್ ಪಡೆದಿತ್ತೆರ್.

Mysuru, Oct 13 : *Admitting that Covid pandemic was still rampant in Karnataka, state Health Minister K. Sudhakar on Monday said only 300 guests would be allowed to watch the 10-day Dasara festival on October 26 in the royal palace grounds here* .

“As Covid spread is still rampant in the state, the Dasara fest will be celebrated in a simple manner this time, with 300 people allowed to witness the royal parade on its 10th day (Vijayadashmi) to mark the victory of triumph over evil in the Amba Vilas palace grounds,” Sudhakar told reporters here.Mysuru’s deputy commissioner Rohini Sindhuri and state health department additional chief secretary Javed Akhtar participated in the review meeting.

Bengaluru: Rain fury back in state – Yellow alert sounded in coastal region

Rains are back in the state. Most parts of the state received rains since the afternoon of Saturday, October 10.
In Bengaluru areas like Jayanagar,Basavanagudi, Electronic City, Majestic, Malleshwaram,
Rajajinagar, Banashankari and Padmanabhanagar received heavy downpour and roads got converted into mini ponds.Coastal regions of Mangaluru, Udupi and Uttara Kannada districts also received rain with thunder on the evening and night of Saturday. Most regions of Malnad also received rains. Rains are going to lash the state for the next three days. A yellow alert is declared in the coastal region of Karnataka and district administration is instructed to take precautionary measures in case of floods.

Bengaluru: Child right commission recommends resuming classes, exam-free year

Bengaluru, Oct 10: Karnataka State Child Rights Protection Commission has recommended to the government to take a decision to open schools, declare 2020-21 as exam-free year, and mandatorily provide high quality face masks to all the children.
“In the light of the COVID situation, classes should be handled in a good way, keeping in mind health requirements of the children. During the exam-free year, the state education research and training department should prepare the class-wise learning routine for different classes. Initially, higher or lower primary government schools with less than 30 children should be opened. For the initial two weeks, they should function half a day. Schools with higher student strength should be run on a shift system,” it has recommended.The commissioner has expressed the apprehension that if no decision is taken to reopen the schools, the evils of child marriage, child labour system, and child trafficking may crop up. It said that the schools should arrange for preliminary meetings with parents and school development and monitoring committees.

Talented athlete Lavina makes it to World Masters Games, seeks financial aid to participate.

Lavina Rodrigues, a talented athlete who won a number of medals in masters games in state and national level is selected to participate in the upcoming World Masters Game – 2021. But constraints have denied her possibilities of participating in the big event which is scheduled to be held at Kansai, Japan from May 14 to 30, 2021.
After considering the performance of the athletes in the recently held 3rd National Masters Games-2020 which was held at Vadodara, the national master’s games federation selection committee finalized Lavina’s name and sent her the confirmation letter and asked to participate in the international event.Lavina has bagged a total of three silver and one gold medals in state level championship. She secured one gold, two silver medals in national level championship. 200m, 400m and 1500m are her favourite sprint events and for the past four years she has been continuously winning medals in these events. She contested in the nation-level competitions paying from her own resources.Lavina requests all generous readers to kindly help to make her dream a reality.She hopes makes it to this mega event and also hoping to go through it with excellence.
