Canteen owner murdered in Puttur; the accused arrested
Puttur: A lady canteen owner was murdered in Nerlakatte near Puttur. The Vittal police were successful in arresting the accused within three hours of committing the crime.
An old rivelray is said to be the motive for the murder. Shakuntala the victim was the wife of one Sanjeev was running Vinayaka mine canteen at Kombettu.She was well known to Sridar a rickshaw driver. Due to some differences he chased her Activa scooter while she was on her way to work,and after a heated exchange of words ,assulted her with a sharp weapon and ran away.A bleeding Shakuntala was shifted to a hospital nearby by onlookers but she died on the way.
Someone passing by in a bus made a video of the murderous assult and made it viral. On the basis of this the police were able to arrest the accused soon.
