Udupi, : Suma S., on the subject of ‘Formation and format of Kannada texts devised by missionaries’ Hampi Kannada University has awarded PhD for the thesis presented.

The research was carried out under the guidance of Dr. Mahadevaiah of the linguistic department of Suma Kannada VV. He is currently serving as a Lecturer in Kannada and Principal of the Hebrew Government Graduate College.

Udupi, Out of 151 students, 118 passed the exam on Saturday in a music, dance and percussion test held at the Government Girls’ Pre-College, Udupi.

Today, there was a written examination on Carnatic Music Senior Grade Instruments, Hindustani Percussion Junior Grade, Bharat Natya Junior and Senior Grade, Bharatanatyam Vidvat.

Covid caution in the testing center was permitted by the Department of Health to write the test after inspecting students using four thermal scanning. Mask and sanitizer use is mandatory.

ಪರ್ಪಿನ ಚಟ ಇತ್ತಿನ ಮಟ್ಟಾರು ನಿವಾಸಿ ಅಕ್ಷಯ್ ಪೂಜಾರಿ(35) ಗುರುವಾರ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಆತ್ಮಹತ್ಯೆಗೆ ಮಲ್ದೆರ್ . ಈ ವಿಚಾರೊಡು ಶಿರ್ವ ಠಾಣೆಡ್ ದೂರು ದಾಖಲ್ ಆತುಂಡು . ಈ ಆತ್ಮಹತ್ಯೆ ಗ್ ಸರಿಯಾಯಿನ ಕಾರಣ ಪೊಲೀಸೇರ್ನ ತನಿಖೆರ್ದ್ ಮಾತ್ರ ತೆರಿಯರೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯ.

A young man has committed suicide by hanging himself in front of a bicycle shop on the main road near Shirpa, Udupi.

Akshay Poojary (35), a Mattaru resident with severe alcohol addiction, committed suicide on Thursday night. A complaint has been lodged at the Shirva Station. The exact cause of his suicide is yet to be ascertained by the police.
