Lok Sabha Election: BJP invites 25 countries to observe election campaign

ಭಾರತೀಯ ಜನತಾ ಪಕ್ಷ (ಬಿಜೆಪಿ) ಭಾರತಡ್ ಬರ್ಪಿನ ಲೋಕಸಭೆ ಚುನಾವಣೆನ್ ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸಾಯೆರೆ 25 ವಿದೇಶಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಲೆಗ್ ಆಹ್ವಾನ ಕೊರ್ತುಂಡು.

Representatives of political parties from countries across the world will visit India to witness the poll campaign ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024. The visitors are expected to observe the scale of the elections, billed as largest voting exercise in the world and understand the ruling party’s campaign strategies.

BJP invites 25 countries to observe election campaign

As of now, the BJP has sent invitation to political parties of at least 25 nations who have been requested to send their representatives to witness the India’s electioneering. Thirteen parties have accepted the invitation so far.

The two political parties of United States – the ruling Democrats and the Opposition Republicans – have not been invited, because US is also going to elections this year.

The Conservative and Labour parties of the United Kingdom and the Christian Democrats and Social Democrats of Germany have been invited.

Vivek Hebbar joined the Congress at a workers’ convention and workers’ induction program jointly organised by the KPCC and Banavasi block. KPCC vice-president Ivan D’Souza, Congress district unit president Sainath Gamvakara welcomed Hebbar to the party by giving him the Congress flag. At the same time gram panchayat presidents, members and BJP workers including hundreds of people joined the Congress.

LS Polls: 3rd Phase Election: Filing of nominations begins from April 12

ನವದೆಹಲಿ: ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸೇರ್ದ್ 12 ರಾಜ್ಯೊಲು ಬೊಕ್ಕ ಕೇಂದ್ರಾಡಳಿತ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ 94 ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಲೆಗ್ ಮೇ 7ಕ್ಕ್ ನಡಪುನ 3ನೇ ಹಂತದ ಚುನಾವಣೆಗ್ ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 12ಕ್ಕ್ ನಾಮಪತ್ರ ಸಲ್ಲಿಕೆ ಶುರು ಆಪುಂಡು ಪಂದ್ ಚುನಾವಣಾ ಆಯೋಗ ತೆರಿಪಾದೆರ್.

In the third phase, polling will be held in Karnataka, Assam, Bihar, Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Goa, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, North and West Bengal.

In Karnataka, elections will be held in 14 constituencies each in two phases. The first phase will be held on April 26 and the second phase on May 7.

This year, a commendable 81.15 percent of students passed the examinations. As many as 6,98378 students appeared for the examination, out of which 5,52,690 have passed.

Vaibhavi Acharya, a student of Vidyodaya PU College, scored 597 marks, and Samyak R Prabhu, a student of Gnana Sudha College, Karkala, secured 595 marks, in the science stream. Harshith S H, a student of Poornaprajna pre-university college Udupi, bagged third rank in commerce stream with 596 marks.

The results will be made available on the official website, https://karresults.nic.in/, at 11 am. Students can check their results by logging in with their credentials provided by the PU board.

In terms of district-wise performance, Dakshina Kannada emerged as the top performer with an impressive pass percentage of 97.37%. Following closely, Udupi district secured the second position with 96.80% of students passing the examinations. Vijayapura district secured the third position with a pass percentage of 94.89%.

Speaking to reporters, Yediyurappa stated, the top leadership has set a target of winning more than 400 seats. “I have assured them that I will get all 28 candidates elected from the state and send them to New Delhi. I am confident of it. I have told the same to Prime Minister Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. This time surely, we will win all seats here and present it as a gift to Prime Minister Modi,” Yediyurappa reiterated.

“Everything is in our favour. We will reach our goal. Prime Minister Modi is considering campaigning in the coastal city of Mangaluru and the capital city of Bengaluru on April 14. The programme has to be finalised,” he explained.

The rebellion and dissidence which cropped up during the allotment of tickets in BJP has been managed and everything is all right now. “I invited everyone home, held a discussion and asked them to go unitedly. Now, there are no differences,” he stated.

“The Congress has questioned our claim of winning all 28 seats. The party is calling it a dream. But, what can one expect from that party? They will have to come up with that statement and they are doing it,” Yediyurappa added.

Standing atop a decorated car, the PM waved at his supporters who lined up on either side of the road and he also carried a small cutout of the BJP’s symbol, the Lotus. Eager supporters hailed Modi and showered flower petals on him.

As per the guidance of Excise Joint Commissioner, Mangalore Division and Excise Deputy Commissioner, Udupi District, this excise raid took place on the house of Ramesh Prabhu at Brahmavar Indira Nagar under Udupi Vidhan Sabha Constituency. Ramesh Prabhu’s son is the leader of BJP Udupi District Yuva Morcha.

A total of 33.500 liters of defense liquor was found when the excise raided on the information that liquor was being stored illegally in the house, which is estimated to be worth Rs 1,55,000. Ramesh Prabhu has been arrested.

Udupi sub-division excise sub-inspector Madhura N. Das has registered a case and initiated further action.
