ಉಡುಪಿ:ನಟ ರಾಜ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅರೆಗ್ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಆಪಿನ ಅವಕಾಶ ಒದಗ್ ದ್ ಬತಿತ್ತ್ಂಡ್. ಆಂಡ ಡಾ.ರಾಜಕುಮಾರ್ ಯಾನ್ ರಾಜಕೀಯಗ್ ಬರ್ಪುಜಿ ಪಂದ್ ಈ ಅವಕಾಶನ್ ನಯವಾದ್ ನಿರಾಕರಣೆ ಮಲ್ದೆರ್ ಪಂದ್ ಮಾಜಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ವೀರಪ್ಪ ಮೊಯ್ಲಿ ದುಂಬುದ ನೆನಪುನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿಯೆರ್.

Udupi: Actor Rajkumar was given an opportunity to become the Chief Minister of Karnataka. But Dr.Rajkumar politely declined this opportunity saying that he will not join politics. Former Chief Minister Veerappa Moily recalled this old memory in the presence of Shivraj Kumar.

At that time NT Rama Rao in Andhra Pradesh, MGR in Tamil Nadu had entered politics. Similarly, in Karnataka too, there were rumors that Dr.Rajkumar would join politics and become the Chief Minister. For that we took Dr.Rajkumar and Parvatamma to Delhi and met Indira Gandhi. But Dr.Rajkumar refused this opportunity saying that he will not join politics.

If Rajkumar had entered politics, he would have been ruling the politics of Karnataka even today. Later, Indira Gandhi asked him to accept Rajya Sabha membership. Moily said that Dr.Rajkumar was a sacrificer who politely rejected that too.

ಅರೆನೊಟ್ಟುಗು ಮಾಜಿ ಸಚಿವೆರ್ ಕೆ. ಅಭಯಚಂದ್ರ, ಕೆಪಿಸಿಸಿ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಜಿಎ ಬಾವ, ಕೆಪಿಸಿಸಿ ಕೋ ಆರ್ಡಿನೇಟರ್ ವಸಂತ ಬೆರ್ನಾಡ್, ಕುಡ್ಲದ ಮಾಜಿ ಮೇಯರ್ ಶಶಿಧರ ಹೆಗ್ಡೆ ,ಭಾಸ್ಕರ್ ಮೊಯ್ಲಿ, ಮಾಜಿ ಕಾರ್ಪೊರೇಟರ್ ಡಿಕೆ ಅಶೋಕ್ ಕುಮಾರ್, ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ಸದಸ್ಯೆರ್ ಅಬ್ದುಲ್ ಅಜೀಜ್ ಇತ್ತೆರ್. ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಸದಸ್ಯೆರಾಯಿನ ಸವಿತಾ ಶಾಂತರಾಮ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ಶರತ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ಭರತ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಇತ್ತೆರ್.

Educationist Shantaram Shetty remembered:

Mulki October 9: ” Panjada guttu Shantaram Shetty who was instrumental in starting primary and high school at his home town may not be with us today. But his ideals will always be with us” said ex minister Veerappa Moily while on a visit to the former’s house. He was accompanied by ex minister Abaya Chandra jain, KPCC secretary GA Bawa, coordinator Vasanth Bangera and others.
