Padubidri: The cancellation of the Thiruvananthapuram-Veraval weekly express special train at Padubadri railway station in Belupu has caused commotion.

Thiruvananthapuram-Veraval weekly express train which was parked at Mangalore-Padubidri-Udupi has been canceled due to shortage of passengers. Passengers traveling by train from this part of the country will have to resort to Udupi or Mangalore. MPs should look into the cancellation of a special railway station at Padubidri station. It has been decided by the Gram Panchayat that the Matsagandha and Bangalore Railway stations should be stopped at this station. If our demands are not fulfilled, a Kerala-style struggle will take place, ”said former president of the Belpu Gram Panchayat.
