Mangalore: With all sectors being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, there has been a suggestion that the power tariff should not be hiked for any reason in the range of the mescom, instead it should be reduced and the leakage will be curtailed.
Consumers from Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Chikkamagaluru and Shimoga districts participated in the public opinion meeting on the mescom electricity tariff revision, which was convened by the Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission at its office on Friday.
