Uttar Pradesh, June 24: In an incident reported from Hamirpur in UP , a man in drunken stupor garlanded the sister in law instead of the bride.

The groom arrived at the marriage hall fully drunk and was not in a position to even stand.He was helped by his friends at the marriage mantap, when he garlanded the sister of the bride. She was shocked and hit him. Later the bride intervened and things were set right.

Farmer’s daughter clears IAS exams

Aruna from Karnataka who cleared the exams in her 6 th attempt has a tragic story behind the success.
Her father a farmer had taken up heavy loans for the children’s education and training.Unable to clear his debts he committed suicide.His daughter has cleared the UPSC exams in her sixth attempt and has got 308 th rank.

Aruna from Shira taluk in Tumkur district was one among six siblings.Her father under the burden of debt committed suicide in 2009. Now Aruna with relentless efforts has cleared her IAS exams.
