Notice issued to Tulu Porambata Samithi by Pandeswar police
Mangalore Oct 4:. A demonstration was planned in a big way in front of DC office on Oct 5th.
Many organisations like Jai Tulu Nadu, Tulunadu rakshana vedike, Tuvera paksha, Yuva Tulu Nadu, Tulunadu Nirman Sena, Tuluver Kudla had come together for the event. Dilraj alva, Yogesh Shetty, Sudarshan Kulal, Roshan Renold, Voltar Gautam Shetty had formed a committee in this regard.
People from Odipu, Karkala, Bantwal, Mulki, Puttur and Voltar, were to come down in buses and assemble in front of mini nidana soudha and conduct a silent protest a forward an appeal to the DC. Though all this was planned the notice issued by the Pandeswar police has poured cold water to all these plans and caused distress to the Tulu organizations.

The idea of including Tulu language in the 8th shedule and giving it official status is praise worthy said the DC Jagdish but has requested the organisations to forward the appeal next week as the local officials are busy awaiting the arrival of the President of India this week .
