Udupi, Dec 11: Human Rights Day is celebrated today around the world with the aim of protecting human rights. The celebration of Human Rights Day should be the work of raising awareness among the masses, said Dr Kapoor, district health and family welfare officer. Sudhir Chandra Suda said.

He was speaking at the inauguration of the World Human Rights Day celebrations held at the Red Cross House in Ajjarakad on Thursday by the Indian Red Cross Organization and Udupi District Unit.

Human rights are essential for a human being to live a comfortable life in society. Human rights aspire to every citizen’s right to live with dignity and respect. G. Shankar Women’s First Class College students and members of the Red Cross Board of Governors were present.

Dr. Reddy, vice president of Red Cross; Ashok Kumar YG welcomed the Hon. The Hon. Aravind Nayak saluted Ammunge.
