Fisherman request for tree planting to prevent sea erosion:
To regulate sea erosion the tree planting method must be adopted requested the fishermen of Bikampady area The previously adopted plan of making a wall with rocks to prevent land being taken up by the sea water does not seem feasible as the water gets over the rocks.Moreover it was difficult for the fisher folk to take their boats and other equipment into the sea.
They have taken a memorandum to Mangalore city corporator Sumitra K ,and requested for trees to be planted as a wall against erosion of the sea.
